In RVA, pleyrz skor pontz for each raec they gut 2 done. Teh amt of pontz each pleyr skoor will depnd on 2 thingz: their finel posishun in teh raec, n' teh amt ov racerz in dat raec. If a raec haz ≥10 racerz, its a 'big' raec :ooo.
In each ranking, we first play 18 sessions that are single races. In single races, each player competes individually and earns points based on their finishing position. The point system for single races is as follows:
Example: A player, who is playing a lobby of the Amateur class, finishes in 2nd place in a normal race (9 racers) with a Rookie class car. In this case, the car has a 0.9 car multiplier and a 1.25x class factor because it is one class below the lobby class.
Steps:
Step 1: Position Score — Look up the points for 2nd place in a normal race → 12 points
Step 2: Car Multiplier — The Rookie car has a car multiplier of 0.9
Step 3: Class Factor — The class factor is 1.25x because the car is one class below the lobby class
Step 4: Final Multiplier — 0.9 × 1.25 = 1.125
This score contributes to their total obtained points (PA), which is used to calculate their final ranking along with other factors like average position and participation.
After the 18 single race sessions, we play 10 more sessions in team format. In team races, players are divided into teams and compete together. Each team member earns individual points based on their finishing position, and these points are summed together to create the team's total score.
Example: A team with 3 members finishes a big race (10+ racers):
Team Members:
Member 1 finishes 1st in a big race with a Rookie car. Because the car is one class below the lobby class, it gets a 1.25x class factor → 20 × (0.9 × 1.25) = 22.5 points
Member 2 finishes 3rd in a big race with a Rookie car. Because the car is one class below the lobby class, it gets a 1.25x class factor → 12 × (0.9 × 1.25) = 13.5 points
Member 3 finishes 5th in a big race with a Rookie car. Because the car is one class below the lobby class, it gets a 1.25x class factor → 8 × (0.9 × 1.25) = 9 points
Note: In team races, the average position and normalizer constant are not used. The team score is simply the sum of all team members' individual race points, making it straightforward to understand each team's contribution to the ranking.
In Re-Volt America, cars are assigned a 'multiplier' depending on their top speed, acceleration, weight, and other characteristics that may make them better or worse for online racing. We use this multiplier to reward racers for playing hard cars, and we also apply a class factor based on how far below the lobby class the car is. Here is how the formula is applied each race with different car multipliers:
Each blue bar is one part of the score. "=" means "results in", "×" means "multiply", and "÷" means "divide".
You first earn points from your finishing position. Then those points are adjusted by your car multiplier.
Team points are everyone's points added together, so each teammate contributes to the final team result.
To rank higher, score more points, keep a better average finish (lower is better), and take part in more races.
